Brass City Harvest works to ease hunger and homelessness in the Waterbury area via delivery of food, clothing, and bedding to homeless people; health and nutrition outreach; healthy cooking classes; and sustaining of two greenhouses in Waterbury to grow food to provide to low-income and homeless individuals throughout each year. BCH recently established a 4H Chapter at its Hill Street Greenhouse, and continually receives community and corporate support for their outreach to homeless people by bringing them living necessities of food, clothing, flashlights, gloves, hygiene products, and more.
Branagan-Mitchell will work to help develop a consistent branding message of the BCH through public relations and publicity placement; development and writing of the BCH website; writing and distribution of PSAs; placement of board members’ and BCH’s activities footage with area television stations; and ongoing efforts to build far-reaching awareness of BCH’s message.
