FLL Food Factor is Coming to Roger Williams University!

Who:   Hundreds of youths from RI on 56 teams, their robots, coaches and families

What:   will showcase their robots and research at the RI FLL Robotics Championship Event
   
When:    January 14, 2012
11:15 a.m., Opening Ceremony featuring RWU President Donald J. Farish.
12:15 – 4:10 p.m., Robot Table Game (3 rounds for each of 54 teams)
4:15 p.m., Awards Ceremony featuring Keynote Speaker Kipp Bradford, Technology Consultant and Entrepreneur
   

Where:   Recreation Center and Gymnasium, Roger Williams University, Bristol, RI
Why:   to celebrate science, technology, engineering and math as teams of 9-14 year olds challenge themselves to solve real-world scientific problems and engage in research, problem solving, engineering and robot design and programming.

Details:   The RI FLL FOOD FACTOR Championship, hosted by Roger Williams University, is a pumped-up celebration of the work the teams have done throughout the season, which launched in September. The Championship Event is much like a high energy sporting event. Referees monitor and score the Robot Game. Judges review team presentations about their Project, Robot Design and Programming. This tournament is free and open to the public from 11 a.m. to the conclusion at about 5 p.m.
