Ackerman Resident Crowned Mrs. Mississippi International

PRLog (Press Release) - Jan. 2, 2012 - Ackerman, Miss. – Traci Mongeon, 42, of Ackerman was recently crowned Mrs. Mississippi International and will go on to compete for the title of Mrs. International 2012 during the final competition in Chicago, July 17-21, 2012.
A busy mother of two, Mongeon serves as a 4-H Youth Agent with the Mississippi State University Extension and is an active community volunteer who serves on several festival and community committees, started a multi-county Environmental Day and launched the county’s First Annual JuneFest 5K Event, which raised funds for a local 4-H program and animal shelter.  Additionally, throughout her reign as Mrs. Mississippi International, she will continue to support her platform of ATV Safety by raising awareness of the risks and safety guidelines that may decrease accidents and deaths.
“It is an honor to represent Mississippi in this role,” said Mongeon. “Being Mrs. Mississippi International will allow me to share ATV safety with those I might not otherwise reach – that that is an exciting opportunity for me.”
In addition to each contestant’s charitable platform, International
Pageants, Inc. supports the National Heart Association’s Go Red for Women program through volunteer and financial support. The Go Red for Women movement is dedicated to fighting heart disease among women.  
The Mrs. International Pageant is owned and operated by International Pageants, Inc., which also operates Miss International and Miss Teen International pageants.  It is the only platform-based pageant system dedicated to highlighting women’s accomplishments through community support.
