PRLog -- Newtown, PA (January 2, 2012) - Billboard recognized artist and Newtown native, Jared Costa, is set to release his sophomore album “This Dizzying Pace and the Aftermath”. Costa will hold his CD Release Show on January 7, 2012 at The Puck in Doylestown, PA starting at 7pm. Chronicling his journey through the two years since his debut, Costa hits on some amazing pinnacles countering with profound moments of introspection. Often compared to the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young and Bob Dylan, Costa started playing harmonica at the age of 10 and it is his melodies from the harp that prove this artist stands out in an industry that can often times be repetitive and stale. Known for energetic deliveries and powerful vocals, Costa’s sophomore album packs a punch from start to finish. Catchy hooks and masterful songwriting fill this album from track to track. It isn't everyday that an artist makes the leap from a stark acoustic debut to such a mainstream pop laden sound in one step. Origivation Magazine gave Costa its highest accolade giving his debut album “Onwards and Upwards” an “Iconic” rating. After a near 35 city tour in 2010 Skope Magazine named him as one of their “Artists to Watch”. Costa is anticipating the release of “This Dizzying Pace and the Aftermath” and looks optimistically as he prepares for his second tour. He explains, “As a songwriter you’re always seeking to carve out an identity and find your voice. I believe this album is the defining moment in that pursuit.”
Costa looks forward to once again returning to The Puck, one of the area’s greatest soundstages for the debut of his sophomore album. Doors open at 7pm on January 7th and tickets can be purchased for $8 at www.pucklive.com .
