A new book from Bill Kassler covers the end of things, entitled "The End from the Beginning" looking at the bible from Genesis to Revelation and exposing the plan for the cataclysmic events that are commonly referred to as the end of the world.
While the book is not a soothsayer book about dates, times and such, it does delve into the why of the events that will occur. One event that is talked about are the rapture, which is commonly referred to as the snatching away of people from the earth before the deadly events of the end of the world.
The book takes its basis from a quote from Isaiah where God declares that He knew the end from the beginning of time. Kassler takes the approach of a project manager to look at the series of events that were planned from the beginning that would help achieve God's end result. The project management approach works well to understand things in a timeline of events having a beginning, middle and an end.
There are very interesting choices that Kassler makes in the book to drive home his views on the biblical end of days. He openly discusses that there will be food shortages and low wages which in this day of high unemployment and job shortages may be right around the corner. More interesting is his viewpoint on how to survive those days.
In all the book is very well crafted with good cover art and it should be an excellent read for 2012 as people are interested in the topic of the end times.
