Gas Technologies Announces New Services Offering for 2012

Dec. 31, 2011 - PRLog -- Gas Technologies (GTL), manufacturer of the innovative GasTechno^® gas to liquids process, announced new design and engineering services to expand its early adopter program.

Services announced on the GTL web site range from basic evaluation packages, to turnkey deployment of the company’s flagship offering, the Mini-GTL^TM methanol plant, under a design / build / own / operate & maintain ("DBOOM") collaboration with preferred partners. The Mini-GTL features the company’s patented GasTechno process—the only single‐step process for converting natural  gas to liquids.

The company has been evaluating and developing processes for methanol-to-diesel (MTD), methanol-to-gasoline (MTG), methanol-to-jet fuel, methanol-to-olefins (MTO), glycols, amines, fertilizers and other bolt-on processes that provide a quick payout of invested capital, exceptional ROI’s and high profit margins.

Commercialization in 2011 focused primarily on commercial applications that address gas flaring, small stranded natural gas fields and pipeline gas in Michigan. However, the growing volume of interest comes from outside the United States with applications targeting biogas, landfill gas and coal bed methane.

GTL’s new services program allows small or medium sized companies to access GasTechno’s key technology benefits by delivering gas conversion plants specifically configured for the customer’s application and local market. Walter Breidenstein, CEO states, "We have a growing interest in Mini-GTL applications in foreign markets, but we do not have any specific market or financial demographics to properly represent all these requests. Every market is so different; many potential applications require full integration into biodiesel facilities, solvent recovery, existing methanol facilities or other downstream assets to reduce costs. That’s what drove us to develop these new services for 2012."

Gas Technologies’ business model uses decentralized field processing to convert gas to a raw liquid product that is further refined at a central processing facility and allows further processing into gasoline, biodiesel, fertilizers, olefins and other fuels or chemicals. In 2012 the company plans to extend this business model outside Michigan using its Mini-GTL plants. GasTechno’s scalability and profit margins are attracting the largest companies in the industry.
