MovieHatch.com Brings Prominent Film Execs to 2012 Judging Roster

Dec. 30, 2011 - PRLog -- AUSTIN, TX – December 30, 2011 MovieHatch.com the company that breaks down barriers to Hollywood for screenwriters, announces more than 15 new judges and 5 new partner companies added to this year’s official judging panel for their online script competition. Submission for the current competition is open until January 4, 2012.

The MovieHatch.com competition encourages budding filmmakers and screenwriters to enter pitches with a synopsis and video/image that post on MovieHatch.com. Visitors to the site become “Public Producers™” by voting on the pitches. A panel of prominent industry professionals will read scripts for the top 10 audience selections.  Each will have an opportunity to go into production or development.

MovieHatch has partnered with an impressive roster of industry powerhouses, including the people behind such blockbusters as X-MEN, BONES, GLADIATOR, RAY, DEXTER, SAW, FINAL DESTINATION, LITTLE FOCKERS, THE GRUDGE, and many more. This includes Tribeca Productions, Josephson Entertainment, Rat Entertainment, ICM, APA, and Broken Road Productions to name a few. This year, Tandem Pictures, Toy Closet Films, Game 7 Films and Filament Productions join this illustrious group of partner companies.

Through the online competition, MovieHatch provides unprecedented access to top film executives such as John Cheng – head of production for Rat Entertainment, Alex Young – head of development for Josephson Entertainment and screenwriter, Steven Susco (THE GRUDGE). Top 10 finalists will be given written evaluations from Hollywood’s most prestigious players. Finalists will also have 30-minute calls/meetings with two of the judges. This year MovieHatch adds over 15 new judges bringing the roster to more than 40 top entertainment industry executives. New judges include:
