Where to Celebrate New Year’s Eve? MCM Acquisition Offers Some Ideas.

Cathedral Square will be hosting Party on the Square from 8pm until the early hours, including a fireworks display at midnight preceded by a full evening of music and fun for all the family.
 
London certainly knows how to put on a show at New Year. The annual fireworks display is one of the best in the world. The fireworks are centred around the London Eye and can be see along the river. The first chime of Big Ben sets off the first firework and with the Olympics being hosted in London in 2012, MCM Acquisitions wonders whether the fireworks will run in the theme?

There are designated viewing areas between Waterloo and Lambeth Bridges on the North and South side of the river and there are large screens showing the display in Trafalgar Square. MCM Acquisitions managing director comments “I’ve attended the London display for the last couple of years and it has been spectacular. The team-work and preparation that must go into an event like that is something that we really admire in our field of business. We’re sure it’s going to be bigger and better this year.”
 
Manchester City Centre will for the first time in many years not host an annual fireworks display. The event which in recent years has been held at Spinningfields has been cancelled after the council failed to find a sponsor for the £20,000 display. MCM Acquisitions says that people in Manchester are bitterly disappointed that the event will not take place.  

Perhaps the people of Manchester should take a trip to Birmingham which hosts a fireworks display in Victoria Square. There will be entertainment from the BBC One New Year Celebrations shown on the Big Screen in the square from 10pm onwards. Birmingham’s displays have been spectacular in the past and not to be missed.

Finally Edinburgh’s Hogmanay is never one to be outdone. Lasting 3 days from the 30th of December to 1st January there is nothing quite like it. A couple of associates from MCM Acquisitions will be jumping on the train to Scotland to catch some of the biggest artists in the world perform including Primal Scream, Mark Ronson and Friendly Fires.  The midnight fireworks display gives London a run for its money, as it lights up the sky from the iconic Castle and Calton Hill.
