PRLog -- Imagine that you're in a Church service and the man in a pew next to yours whispers, 'My name is Paul. Paul of Tarsus. I came around to behold the order of worship in your Church. I'm afraid I don't know which Gospel is being preached or the Christ your Pastor is talking about.' What would be your reaction? If you're like me, I guess you would nod in agreement and say, 'I've got the same concerns, but where else can I go? Everyone seems to preach the same kind of message, 'Give your life to Christ and be free of your problems.' No one lifts up Christ or his cross. Sanctification is alien to us. Talking about heaven or hell is old-fashioned. It's more profitable to talk about building self-esteem than 'bore' our parishioners with tales about a place called heaven that no one has ever seen. So we hide our disbelief under our cassocks and preach our version of the Gospel and tell people about our latter day Jesus who cannot save their souls but can find them a place in the parking lot, help them find a wife or husband or arrange a business deal for them. I don't know if there's any child of God that's satisfied with the fun Gospel that permeates Christendom. For as many as desire to know the truth and walk in the light shall be set free. The quest for the truth is the central theme of this book
