The seminar is open to all ages and levels of experience. Topics will include Blues music and how it relates to guitar technique, music theory and overcoming performance anxiety. The class is structured to one hour of lecture and one hour of performing in a group setting.
The class will meet for eight consecutive Mondays from 7 – 9 p.m. at Ranch View Baptist Church, 415 Rancho Santa Fe Rd., in Encinitas. The session begins January 9, 2012 through February 27, on Monday nights, 7pm. There will be a recital at the last session on Monday, February 27th. Participating in the class costs $200.
Pupping has been teaching and performing in Southern California for more than 30 years. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music from San Diego State University. Pupping has studied with internationally known classical and jazz guitarists. He organizes and directs the Encinitas Guitar Orchestra twice each year.
