Ourisman Ford and Lincoln of Alexandria, Va. and Ford Motors have three eco-friendly vehicle engines that can take fuel prices off a car owner's list of worries – worries that currently equal 8.4% of the average family income.
Drivers can gain up to 20% better fuel efficiency in a vehicle with Ford's exclusive EcoBoost engine. Five Ford models feature the direct-injection gasoline engine, including for 2012: Ford F-150, Ford Edge, Ford Explorer, Ford Taurus, and Ford Flex EcoBoost. Each of these vehicles has a starting MSRP below $30,000. Ourisman Ford and Lincoln of Alexandria, Va. features even lower internet pricing on all five, but only through Jan. 3, 2012.
Drivers can get 78% better city fuel efficiency in a Ford Fusion Hybrid sedan which also starts as an MSRP below $30,000. The flex-fuel engine can run on a combination of gas and electric power, or entirely on electric.
As soon as the models roll off the line, drivers will reach up to 100 MPGe with the Ford Focus Electric. The sedan requires absolutely no fuel and no oil. No filthy oil changes alone is worth the starting MSRP of $39,200. The 2012 Ford Focus Electric is not yet available, but Ourisman Ford and Lincoln of Alexandria will gladly reserve one for you.
