PRLog - Dec. 27, 2011 - SANTA CLARITA, Calif. -- The multi-award winning film '5,6,7,8' is the inspiring story of Nova Jazz - an elite girls dance company based out of The Pulse Performing Arts Studio in Bedford Hills, NY. The film begins as a ‘year-in-the life’ of Nova Jazz, but quickly evolves into an intimate portrayal of five key performers, and the woman who makes it all possible. As Choreographer and owner, Jenn, mother of two, juggles the demands of owning a business and the emotional needs of her teenage students.
The dancers, ranging in age from 10 to 18 draw the audience into the stress, the emotion and the physical trials of competition. A story of commitment and love of dance, this film is a candid and sometimes raw inside look at the joys, jealousies, and disillusionments experienced by the girls in the course of a year’s worth of performances, rehearsals and 2,197 miles traveled.
'5,6,7,8' delicately crafts the story of each character as the year progresses, culminating in the triumph of the final concert performance in this personal and uplifting documentary. A must see for those who love dance, 5,6,7,8 has received the Dove Family seal of approval for ages 12+.
