PRLog - Dec. 27, 2011 - Renovations for the Carnegie building in Beatrice had already been scheduled to start next week. However, construction for the interior of the structure will not begin as set due to mold infestation. To resolve the issue, Mold-Removal suggested the use of an organic mold solution.

The said mold problem was in the basement of the building. Specifically, it's affecting some of the basement walls and ceilings. However, Neal Niedfeldt, the City Administrator, said that they don't know yet the extent of the damage or if the mold is toxic. And so until they obtain more information about the mold infestation, he refused to theorize how much the mold removal process will cost.

However, the work for the exterior of Carngie library remains unaffected. As scheduled, renovations for it will start next week according to report.

“Mold found its way to the Carnegie building in Troy, New York. And because of the spores' growth, the scheduled renovation of the structure's interior cannot be started. That is, until the mold issue is resolved.”

“Specifically, the said mold infestation was found in the basement of the retired library. The problem is that even the city is unaware of the mold damage and if it is toxic or not, according to City Administrator Neal Niedfeldt. And when asked about the amount needed for mold removal, he refused  to theorize until more detail about the  problem is obtained.”

“However, despite the interior problems, renovations on the exterior of the building are to push through as scheduled. And that will already start next work.”

“Major construction is set to begin on the exterior of the Carnegie building in Beatrice next week, but work on the interior will not begin until a mold situation is resolved.”

“Bockmann Inc. Facility and Environmental Solutions has been hired to remove the mold, which is in the basement of the retired library.”

“City Administrator Neal Niedfeldt said Friday morning the city is currently unaware of the amount of mold damage, or if it’s toxic.”

“As far as the inside of the building, we’re still working through mold problems in the basement,” Niedfeldt said. “It’s visible on some of the walls and ceilings so they’re going to determine how that needs to be removed.”

“If they determine some of the basement walls or trim has to be removed, that means the actual contractor for the project wouldn’t have to do that work.”

The negative effects of mold infestation go beyond the structures. It can also negatively affect the health of the people said Mold-Removal. Hence, immediate, effective and safe  mold remediation is needed, it added.

However, to implement that kind of mold removal, a well-picked solution is needed. And among all that consumers can purchase, the site only recommends the use of Molderizer. As it is made of 100 percent biodegradable ingredients, it puts no health at risk.
