The said mold problem was in the basement of the building. Specifically, it's affecting some of the basement walls and ceilings. However, Neal Niedfeldt, the City Administrator, said that they don't know yet the extent of the damage or if the mold is toxic. And so until they obtain more information about the mold infestation, he refused to theorize how much the mold removal process will cost.
However, the work for the exterior of Carngie library remains unaffected. As scheduled, renovations for it will start next week according to report.
