The publisher of Smart CXO Magazine announced today that CGH Technologies, Inc. COO, Glyn Owen and CTO, Vinod Vallikat have won the Smart CXO Award.
After careful review of numerous nominations, SmartCEO was pleased to announce that CGH’s Glyn Owen, COO and Vinod Vallikat, CTO were selected as a 2011 SmartCXO winner and will be highlighted alongside the finest CFOs, COOs, CIO/CTOs and executive management teams in the Mid-Atlantic. “We are honored to celebrate your success and look forward to working with you as you accept this award.” SmartCXO Awards Executive Management. SmartCEO views its award recipients as the top business leaders in the region. Mr. Owen and Mr. Vallikat were recognized as models for excellence in the business community.
An awards banquet will be given to honor all SmartCXO winners: CFOs, COOs, CIO/CTOs and executive management teams in the Mid-Atlantic on Tuesday, April 26, 2011, from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at FedEx Field (Home of the Washington Redskins).
Mr. Owen joined CGH in CGH in 1998 and since then each year Mr. Owen ensures that there are many social responsibility efforts that give back to the community such as hosting an annual blood drive, cancer runs, coat drives, can drives, toy drives, suite drive, soup kitchen volunteer efforts and generous donations to different organizations such as the Children’s Hospital, Dress for Success, Food and Friends, St. Ann's Infant & Maternity Home, March of Dimes, Red Cross and the National Zoo.

Mr. Vallikat joined CGH in 2006, he is a true innovator with dedication and participation, bringing people and ideas together to create a pathway for future endeavors.
Mr. Vallikat is responsible for designing and developing the Federal NOTAM System (FNS) which is mission critical to the United States (US) National Airspace System (NAS). He is the primary technical engineer involved in the design and development of the technical architecture and implementation of the FNS. The goal of this program is to provide a fully digital solution that significantly improves how NOTAMs are created and distributed. This is a significant undertaking considering the existing NOTAM System has not changed considerably over the past fifty years and also the critical part it plays in protecting the NAS. For the past fifty years, this program has been a manual process with endless human error. The mission is to automate the program and create a new digital system, called FNS.

This new system combines both civilian and military NOTAMs into a single system to balance diverse customer needs from the Airline Industry to Air Traffic Control (ATC), General Aviation, International and military, as well as private Airports. The joint goal of the Department of Defense (DOD) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is to have a single federal system with full International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) implementation started late 2009 – early 2010 timeframes.
