Anand Group Launches Maintenance Course Programme - PACT Mechtronics

Dec. 23, 2011 - PRLog -- The Anand Group of companies, today, launched a ‘Maintenance Course Programme’ in association with CII and Marathwada Mitra Mandals Polytechnic. The programme is a Certificate course titled ‘PACT Mechtronics.’

Available to Mechanical and Electronics Diploma students, PACT – Mechtronics is a one year programme involving both theory and hands-on instruction in the ratio 30:70.  

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. K.S. Bhullar, President, Group HR, Anand said, ‘Anand has undertaken this initiative in order to contribute to the development and advancement of the youth of today by giving them access to unparalleled opportunities and exposure in the organisation.  Anand aims to create a pool of industry-ready maintenance professionals.  We see this collaboration as a fruitful investment for the future.’

The course will be conducted and driven by Anand’s Training Academy “Anand U” and the Anand Group companies’ Maintenance Team at Pune. Anand Group companies involved in this initiative include the companies from its Pune hub - Gabriel India Limited, Spicer India Limited, Behr Indian Limited, Mahle Filter Systems India Limited & Victor Gaskets India Limited.

The selection process will involve a mental ability test, a compatibility test and followed by a personal interview. On successful completion of the course the students will be jointly certified by Marathwada Mitra Mandals Polytechnic and Anand U.

Since well-trained maintenance professionals are in great demand today the certified students will have employment opportunities not only in the above mentioned Anand’s Group companies but also other manufacturing engineering companies

The event was held at the Marathwada Mitra Mandals’ premises at Thergaon, Pune and was attended by CII representatives, members of the Marathwada Mitra Mandals Managing Committee and Anand Group Management Members – including Mr. C.S. Patel, Member, Anand Supervisory Board, Mr. K.S. Bhullar, President, Group HR; Mr. Rathnam, President & Dean, Anand U, along with the Plant, HR and Maintenance Heads of the Pune hub.
