Georgetown, SC – Georgetown Hospital System’s Community Health Education Department will host a no-cost smoking cessation program for local residents that are interested in improving their health status in the new year.
Beginning in January 2012, FreshStart Plus, a smoking cessation program modeled on the American Cancer Society FreshStart program, will be offered during a three-week period at Wachesaw Conference Center in Murrells Inlet. The series will include 6 hour-long classes that will meet from 6 to 7 p.m. on January 9, 11, 16, 18, 23 and 25. The program’s methods and activities contain effective elements for success in fighting addiction to nicotine. No fee is required for this program. For enrollment or more information, call 546-0623.
