Elizabeth Parry, 37, of Stanney Oaks, Cheshire, is the creative brains at the heart of the hotel’s sales and marketing department.
She started work at the hotel in 2008 as a sales and marketing coordinator but her dedication, creative eye and can-do attitude saw her promoted to her current position of marketing executive.
Now Elizabeth’s hard work has been rewarded at the ‘Employee of the Year’ awards which recognise exemplary employees who go the extra mile.
As ‘Employee of the Year’, Elizabeth has won a three night break to Madrid, for two people, inclusive of return travel, breakfast and dinner each day.
Elizabeth said: “I was so pleased to be nominated and then win ‘Employee of the Year’. I really enjoy my job because it’s so varied and no two days are ever the same.
“One day I might be designing the La Brasserie’s new menu and the next creating a spa newsletter to go out to our spa customers.
“I get the opportunity to be really creative across all areas of the hotel – from meetings and events to the Michelin star restaurant ‘Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor’.
“I’m very touched to be recognised in this way and am really looking forward to my trip to Spain.”
Elizabeth is originally from Little Neston, Wirral, and attended Birkenhead High School before training as a graphic designer at the University of Wales Institute Cardiff.
Managing director Jonathan Slater said: “Elizabeth is a joy to have with us at The Chester Grosvenor and is one of the most creative people I have ever worked with. I’m very proud of her and grateful for all her hard work.”
Mr Slater presented the awards at a special reception attended by dozens of staff including the other award winners La Brasserie waiter Michael Killeen and chef de partie Daniel Beech.
Michael won an overnight stay at Bodysgallen Hall and Spa with breakfast and dinner and Daniel will enjoy lunch for two at Gordon Ramsay’s London restaurant Petrus.
