Big River Turkey Drive Exceeds Previous Year’s Donations

Dec. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Big River Telephone held its 8th Annual Turkey Holiday Drive during the time of November 1st through December 21st.  Big River held the drive in two locations, Cape Girardeau and Farmington, in conjunction with The Salvation Army, Schnucks (Cape Girardeau), and Country Mart (Farmington).  Withers Broadcasting and J98 “The Boot” had a live broadcast during the events.

This year’s drive generated the largest amount of donations in the eight-year history of the Holiday Turkey Drive.  All donations will be used by the local Salvation Army to directly provide thousands of meals for needy families during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.  Big River is thankful for all the help they have received from these businesses and from their very own employees.
