Two Schools Benefit from Social Play Equipment

Otmoor Primary School in Oxfordshire and Grazebrook Primary School in North London have both had play areas, designed and installed by Creative Play, which provide safe, educational and fun environments for children to play.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Dec. 22, 2011 - Otmoor Primary School in Oxfordshire and Grazebrook Primary School in North London have both finished the year by giving their pupils new playground equipment and outdoor spaces.

The play areas, designed and installed by Flintshire based children’s play equipment specialist Creative Play, http://www.creativeplayuk.com/, provide safe, educational and fun environments for children to play whilst enjoying the benefits of being outside.

Creative Play recently transformed the playground at Grazebrook Primary School in North London. The playground was covered in tarmac – which the playground specialists replaced with both blue wetpour and rubber mulch (in a natural brown shade). This has made the playground a much safer place to play – especially in the wet. The school logo, which the Creative Play team created in wetpour, was placed in the centre of the playground. The skilled wetpour team also managed to create a superb Snakes and Ladders playground game – also in wetpour – to provide more fun at playtime. They also installed a Trim Trail in two sections at either end of the play area (which included a climbing wall) and a Zenith 3 with rustic finish, and all of these support active play to keep the children moving at playtime. To support social play, a tree bench was also installed (with the school name embossed in the seat) which the children can use to sit together and talk.

In addition, Creative Play also recently installed a range of outdoor play equipment items into Charlton on Otmoor Primary School in Oxfordshire to create a social play environment. Musical play panels are complemented by the very popular Game Top picnic tables (with chess being a particular favourite at playtime). In addition, the school also wanted some Animal Benches to create area for quiet, social play.

Head Teacher Mike Wisbach said "We're very happy with the new play area. The children are really enjoying it. We chose Creative Play because they provided us with the best ideas for our area and were also competive in the price as well. Their installation team did a fantastic job and I would recommend Creative Play without hesitation"

The benefits of play areas like these for children make them a great investment. They encourage the children to be active during breaks and the play activities are social and also aid development. The children work together, interact and are challenged both physically and mentally. Creative Play make these play sites stimulating and safe for the children and tie the equipment in with educational levels.
