Sheraton Media Hotel & Towers Jakarta Introduces a New Culinary Ambience at the Sukhothai Restaurant

Dec. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- The five star hotel which is located in the northern area of Central Jakarta has recently added a new extension-outdoor area to the award winning restaurant, allowing its distingusihed guests to enjoy an opened-space garden for barbecue, gathering and functions in agreeable atmosphere. Sukhothai’s guests now may choose from two different atmosphere; which is indoor area for formal dining and outdoor for hosting casual occasions.

Beside increasing number of seats up to 100 persons for cocktail (or 80 persons for round table setup), the new garden area allows guests to enjoy authentic Thai cuisine in a breezing outdoor ambience. The hotel also plans to roll out Thai barbecue promotion on regular basis. “We will create a special promotion that include varied selection of Thai barbecue dishes,” said Executive Chef Sheraton Media Hotel & Towers, Fadly Firdaus.

About Sukhothai Restaurant
Sukhothai is a Thai Fine Dining Restaurant, located on 6th floor of Sheraton Media Hotel & Towers Jakarta, and adjacent to the hotel’s swimming pool. “Sukhothai” means beautiful and in line with its name, Sukhothai is artistically decorated with Thai ornaments and decors, such as Thai statues, Elephant statues, wooden carving, masks, etc. In the outdoor area, the restaurant offers a garden with mini fountain and various Thai plantations. The Thai’s nuance and flavors appear even stronger with traditional outfits worn by its employees.

The restaurant’s indoor area has 75 seating capacity where offers a moderately formal and quite ambience, embellished with details: hanging carved wooden ornaments, pillows with a triangular back support and of course an elephant brass on every table while traditional Thai music adds weight to the atmosphere. The outdoor area (Sukhothai Terrace) can accommodate up to 100 persons.

Sukhothai offers the best authentic Thai cuisine in a la carte setup. Thai cuisine mostly uses wide varieties of particular herbs and spices. For lunch, the restaurant opens Monday to Friday, from 11:30 to 14:30. Dinner is served every night from 18:00 to 23:00.

Beside regular a la carte menu, Sukhothai is currently promoting EAT-TILL-YOU-DROP, where guests can enjoy extensively unlimited Thai gourmets with a single reasonable price, which is only Rp. 129.000,- net per person.
