In its twelfth year, the popular Affordable Art Fair will bring its bevy of non-blue-chip emerging art galleries to its eleventh host city to date: Los Angeles. This winter, organizers will hold their first West Coast event between January 18 and 22 at the downtown L.A. LIVE Center, where part of the building's top floor will be tented and climate-controlled for the fair. We are pleased to announce that JoAnne Artman Gallery has been selected as an exhibitor at the inaugural AAF Los Angeles taking place January 18 -22, 2012. AAF LA will be held at The Event Deck at LA Live with an Opening Night Preview to take place on Wednesday, January 18th, 2012 from 7:30 – 10pm.

By joining forces with local organizations, large and small, we are committed to making this edition of the Fair the busiest and most successful yet. Our MAJOR highlights are below.
Send in your application today!
Non-profit Fundraiser: First, we are very pleased to announce our partnership with Free Arts for Abused Children; a local non-profit dedicated to inspiring hope in the lives of abused, homeless and at-risk children through volunteer-led creative arts programs. Free Arts for Abused Children will be the beneficiary of our Exclusive Benefit Reception taking place on Wednesday, January 18th, from 5PM - 7:30PM and the organization will receive 100% of ticket proceeds from the event, to support their philosophy that "Art heals!"
Bonhams: We are thrilled to be partnering with Bonhams, one of the world's oldest and largest auctioneers of fine art and antiques. We'll be working with them on a special ad for the Fair within a Bonhams catalogue, promoting the Fair to their guests and clients, and hosting a cocktail party for exhibitors, Fair special guests, and Bonhams VIPs.
Media Partners: As our major media sponsor, local tastemaker L.A. Confidential is also promoting the Fair and is further supporting us through a large advertising push. We have also partnered with Paper Magazine to secure advertisements and additional special promotion. L.A. Times calls them the "hippest magazine on earth!" - and we're huge fans as well, so are very proud to have their participation.
Venue: In the destination of sunny downtown Los Angeles, this edition of the Fair will be the center of activity at L.A. LIVE. Our prime location equals additional promotional opportunities for the Fair, and these have already been secured with the venue, including a large, impactful signage campaign, ticketing partnerships, and site-wide brochure distribution.
Art pricing: We would also like exhibitors to take note of a new price guideline. Beginning with the L.A. edition, we are asking that each gallery only maintain 50% (previously 75%) of the work in their booth under the $5,000 mark, with a ceiling of $10,000 on any one work. Not only will this make it easier for you to select what work you bring to the Fair, it will allow for higher sales figures overall.
