ID TECH Releases SmartPIN C100 a PCI 2.1 Certified Compact PIN Pad For Mobile Solutions

The ID TECH SmartPIN C100 is one of the slimmest PIN entry devices in the market with an ultra-compact design that measures a mere 3.00” by 2.69” by 0.56” thick.  Within its small form factor, the SmartPIN C100 includes a 2x12 character backlit LCD display.  It also features audio feedback for keystrokes and operation alerts to allow for greater ease of use.

The SmartPIN C100 is PCI Version 2.1 Certified ensuring a high level of data security.  The new PIN pad encrypts PIN numbers for secure transmission to the host for processing.  It supports DES and TDES algorithms for PIN encryption, and both Master/Session and DUKPT key management.  The SmartPIN C100 has the ability to output data in both clear and encrypted text.  In addition to its PIN encryption capabilities, the SmartPIN C100 features a tamper-resistant mechanism to prevent anyone from compromising the device.
