Dec. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Barre, MA––Lamoureux Ford, Quabbin Regional High School and members of the local community raised $1,800 for the school at a recent test-drive event, as part of Ford Motor Company’s Drive One 4 UR School program. For each person who came out to test-drive a new Ford vehicle on September 17th, Lamoureux Ford and Ford Motor Company donated $20 to the school. Funds generated were given to Friends of Quabbin Football.

Since the program’s inception in 2007, the Drive One 4 UR School program has generated over $7 million in donations for high schools nationwide. The money raised during the Drive One 4 UR School program has helped ensure that extracurricular activities like sports and music programs continue in local communities despite budgetary constraints and funding cuts.

“Our dealership was pleased to host this event for Quabbin Regional High School,” states Marc Lamoureux, Vice President at Lamoureux Ford. “The members of Friends of Quabbin Football work tirelessly for the football program, and I’m proud we could help them with their ongoing fundraising efforts.”
