Livonia Jaycees Raised Over $4,400 at a Recent “Stuff an RV” Event

PRLog (Press Release) - Dec. 21, 2011 - A Livonia Bankruptcy Attorney husband and wife team are doing their part to help those in need in the community. Jeri Behrmann, of Phoenix Law, along with the Livonia Jaycees, recently held the second annual “Stuff an RV” Event to benefit Starfish Family Services. The event, held in late November, was organized and executed by the Livonia Jaycees (http://new.LivoniaJaycees.com/) and fellow members of the community. Volunteers collected an RV full of items, such as diapers,toiletries, hats, gloves, scarfs, household items, and non-perishable food items. A total of 1,875 items, worth over $4,473.28, were collected and donated to Starfish Family Services. Starfish works with Livonia Families in the early childhood programs (5 and under), helping them sustain a comfortable and safe living environment through the holidays.

“It has been very rewarding to be involved in this event, and to be helping such a worthy cause,” said Jeri Behrmann, Attorney at Phoenix Law. “As a bankruptcy attorney, we see a lot of families who are really struggling during the holidays. Organizations such as Starfish Family Services do a truly amazing job of helping to make the holidays a little brighter for these families and children.”

Jeri Behrmann serves as the Membership Vice-President for the Livonia Jaycees and her husband, Peter Behrmann serves as Legal Counsel. Jeri initiated the “Stuff an RV” event in 2010, and has organized it for two consecutive years. Approximately 37 volunteers from the Jaycees and community, including Jeri and Peter, came out to collect and sort donations for this year’s event.

Behrmann adds, “We truly appreciate all the support of the community and the fellow Jaycees in helping to make this event such an overwhelming success, and look forward to doing it again next year.”
