Linium’s (www.linium.com) annual Thanksgiving Food Drive and Adopt-a-Family program proved again to be a success! Linium’s Thanksgiving Food Drive collected food and related items for distribution to less fortunate families through Food Pantries of the Capital District. Food Pantries for the Capital District is a coalition of 46 food pantries working together to do together what no one organization could do alone. This year, Linium employee donations weighed in at 802lbs!
Linium's annual Adopt-a-Family program, officially formed in 2009, selects less fortunate families in the Albany area and provides them with a full meal and gifts during the holiday season. Once again the Linium team stepped up to meet the challenge. This year, employees' provided Albany-area families with a total of 205 beautifully wrapped gifts complete with Christmas dinners and more than $500 in gift certificates.
"I am so proud of my employees' performance and ability to make a real difference, both on the job and in the community - as evidenced by our wonderfully successful food drive and Adopt-a-Family community programs. At a time when charitable donations are down, my team at Linium really rallied - knowing the holiday season brings with it a great need," reports our CEO Joe Burke.
