Cleankill staff celebrate top marks in assessments

Dec. 20, 2011 - PRLog -- The news came after an Investors in People assessor visited the company’s South Croydon headquarters and interviewed a number of staff about issues like training, work-life balance and communication. Cleankill met the 26 evidence criteria from the Investors in People’s
wider framework required for the bronze award.

Cleankill Managing Director Paul Bates said: “The assessment shows that our team is one of the most experienced and best trained in the country. Around a quarter of the UK workforce are employed by organisations that are accredited to Investors in People - or working towards the standard. But only six per cent of organisations that are Investors in People are accredited beyond the normal standard and only around four per cent of these achieve Bronze*. This means Cleankill belongs to a very select group.”

Investors in People Assessor Anne Hyde added: “I found that there is a real openness across Cleankill, and that people have high levels of autonomy in respect of the way in which they carry-out their work. There is a strong emphasis on the sharing of knowledge, skills and experience and this will often see the directors working alongside a member of staff, in order that knowledge can be shared.”

Cleankill also scored highly for its corporate social responsibility (CSR) work which has included: sponsoring the summer fair at a local school; a director being a Cub Scout leader and another being a football coach; funding coaching for junior members at a local tennis club; sponsoring a local youth football team and giving talks and taking ‘pests’ into local primary schools as part of the National Curriculum mini-beasts project.

The Investors in People news follows hard on the heels of other excellent assessment scores. Cleankill has proved the quality of its COSHH assessments by passing recent ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and Achilles assessments with flying colours.
