“Not thirty seconds after Mr. Williams aired the segment, the phone began ringing and emails started flooding in from all over the world!” exclaimed Dove. “We were prepared for some attention, but not the scope of the response. People were inspired by our story, and we are still receiving calls and emails from people who want to donate money for food, new books, and even scholarships for the students. I am deeply moved by the generosity and sacrifice of the donations. We are so excited that this will allow us to keep our program going.”
Delta Trust & Bank of Little Rock, Arkansas is the depository institution for all donations.
Delta Trust is thrilled at the response of Annette Dove’s call to action. Delta Trust & Bank Chief Executive Officer, French Hill, added: “In a world that is starved for good news about things that work, Delta Trust & Bank is proud to partner with TOPPS to help Annette Dove insure that donated money will meet the needs of children and families in Pine Bluff.”
Ms. Dove says, “This frees me up to cover the children and let the donations held at Delta Trust cover the bills. I’m an educator, cook, and second mom to these children who don’t have anyone in their corner. TOPPS is dedicated to continuing our work and we are hoping for the chance to expand our program to meet the basic needs of more children in our community.”
