Nancy Silberkleit’s Philanthropy Expands To Another Pandemic Social Issue: Bullying

Monday, Dec. 19, 2011 - Nancy Silberkleit has decided to take on another social issue that is affecting everyone: adults and children.  “Bullying is a serious issue. It’s in the workforce, cyberspace and the schools.” states; Nancy Silberkelit. Nancy continues: “During my travels I speak with children and teachers alike and hear the horror stories of bullying.  I think that comic books can be used as a vehicle to open up the lines of communication to bullying. We all know that communication is the gateway to identifying the problem and the bully who is intimidating the person being bullied.”

Nancy Silberkleit announces her personal project to launch a comic book that will deal with bullying, in hopes that it will provide confidence, hope, and perspective on how to deal with the hurt from being a victim of  bullying. The main mission of the book is to let victims understand that when they find themselves in the horrific situation we call bullying, their main goal should be to spark the thought of empowerment into ones self worth. She quotes; "Never let anyone define who you are or who they want you to be. You know who you are! Never let someone think they are entitled to carve your life out for you. That’s your job!" Nancy Silberkleit continues; "As hurtful as it is, when you are in a bullying situation do not become engaged in their event. Take the hurt you experience and ignite a fire in you to become active in sparking your passions, hobbies and interests.   Your activeness will allow you to become a positive force in the world.  It does not have to be global instead be the example of change within your world and you will make a social change.  Instead of being depressed and helpless empower yourself with your passions, hobbies and interests. By doing you will let the bully know that no matter what they do they can't hold you back.  You are just too busy for that."

Nancy Silberkleit has just begun the development of this project and is welcoming communication with her fans to express and share their thoughts that may be able to be woven into this important project. She is greatly concerned with the recent incidents of suicide among young children and feels publicizing the development she may be able to reach out to the many children feeling the pain due to the result of bullying.  This book is just one tool to offer solutions and ignite communication to alleviate the wrong choice one may choose as it relates to bullying.  There is help and speaking out is the only cure to his terrible problem effecting individuals young and old, online, in schools and in the workplace.  The statistics are alarming.  I Safe claim that 1-3 child online experiences cyberthreats.  Yale School of Medicine reports that suicide continues to be one of the leading causes of death among children under the age of 14.  The new term for many of these suicides is; bullycide.  The National Education Association states it’s estimated that 160,000 children miss school every day due to fear or intimidation by other students. 1-7 students in grades K-12 are either a bully or a victim of bullying.

Nancy Silberkleit feels their pain, and how bleak their outlook is when found in the face of such belligerent humans. Ms. Silberkleit wants to help others change their outlook on adversity.  Instead of it being a tool to cripple you change it so that it does the opposite.  Instead, let it ignite your passions. Nancy Silberkleit wants to turn all their eyes inward.  She wants victims to realize their self worth and see that their life is golden and their voice is the voice for a movement for all of us to join. Let’s all speak up and speak out on the need of the respect for Humanity.  If you want to be part of the change please contact  Nancy Silberkleit on Facebook or  HYPERLINK "mailto:maverickmother1@gmail" \t "_blank" maverickmother1@gmail.
