New Website Launches to Help UK Private Investors Beat the Market

Investing in the stock market present challenges for the UK investor. Does one take a passive approach and allow investment and pension funds take the strain? Or, does one take matters into their own hands and try to go it alone?

Dec. 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Share Knowledge is an exciting new website aimed at helping UK investors beat the stock market. The site is run by private investors, for private investors with the aim of creating an interactive environment where people can share knowledge, ideas, research and opinions about the UK stock market and companies listed on it.

The site has started with two virtual portfolios for 2012 - a growth portfolio and an income portfolio. These are not recommendations to purchase shares but rather, represent share ideas for readers to explore further. Each selection in the growth portfolio is supported by an accompanying article where readers are able to offer their own opinion via an integrated poll - buy, hold or sell. Over time, this will help build up a picture of opinion around the relevant companies.

In addition to joining in the company polls, readers are able to post opinions and comments on each article. For those wishing to share their research into companies not featured, there is the option to submit guest articles for publication.

It is anticipated that the Share Knowledge site will grow and evolve based largely around readership participation and of course, the site's authors will also provide regular updates when news is published regarding the featured companies.
