70's "Mammoth Sound" Meets Home Brewed Charm in The Vorticists' Debut Album, "Show"

Modern psychedelic rock band The Vorticists have released their debut album "Show." From humble beginnings to legendary Hollywood studios to the fans, the free-to-stream album is on sale now.

Dec. 17, 2011 - PRLog -- Modern psychedelic rock band The Vorticists have just released their debut album, Show.  After a year of writing, recording and experimentation the album is now available for digital download through Bandcamp at http://thevorticists.com.

Legendary mastering engineer Howie Weinberg, known for his work on albums by Muse, The Mars Volta, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Blonde Redhead - all highly influential to The Vorticists - brings his signature treatment to the album's colossal sound.

"This is really an 'album-listeners' album, in the vein of Pink Floyd and Radiohead...but I'm wary of calling it a concept-album," says keyboard player and vocalist Alex Chod.  "To me, Show is a strange, alluring journey... through the emotions of self-realization.  We're excited to give something new to our fans and to make new friends as we promote our album and take the live show on the road,"

An independently produced work, the band is offering a "pay what you want" pricetag on the three-song demo of the album (aptly titled Faux Show), and a five dollar minimum on the complete, nine track album in high quality formats.

Show and Faux Show are available to stream and to download at thevorticists.com.  Visit The Vorticists on Facebook for up-to-date news and show announcements: facebook.com/thevorticists
