PRLog - Dec. 17, 2011 - When it comes to creating custom military designs for apparel many things are often considered. Does the company you are contacting actually doing the design work? Do they have great printing technologies in place and can they offer multiple shirt colors, types and quality printing. All important questions to ask. More questions to consider are below. Q - What goes into the creation of a military design for a unit?
A - Great concepts, background, information on the unit, mottoes, slogans, call signs, unit history, the nature of color whether full color, black and white, the style and print location.
Q - Cost?
A - Quantity and color typically make up the largest factors when determining costs followed by the number of print locations. Front, back, shoulder and possibly sleeve printing help to determine the costs.
Q - How is it printed?
A - There are a lot of ways for t-shirts and apparel to get printed. Screen printing, direct-to-garment printing, die sublimation are the most common. Each one has its advantages and differences when it comes to the look and feel of a finished product but they are all very good.
Q - How does one get started?
A - A deposit gets things started. The deposit can vary but approximately 150.00 is usually requested.
Q - Do I get my deposit back if I change my mind?
A - The deposits are non-refundable and this is only because work is being done on a design it is also used to determine if a working relationship exists. Many people make requests for free designs and those truly interested in moving forward with a design never complain about a deposit if they are interested in having a design and apparel printed.
Q - What happens to the deposit?
A - It gets applied to the total balance so it does reduce the final payment.
Q - Once the deposit is made how long is it before my initial sketch is created?
A - 5 working days
Q - Do I get to make changes to the sketch after I see it?
A - Absolutely. You can go back as often is necessary until you are completely happy with the sketch.
Q - Once the sketch is approved what happens next?
A - Balances are collected for the final quantity such as colors, sizes, apparel type whether long sleeve, hoodies, sweatshirt or tank-tops. All numbers are collected and the customer/unit pays for the balance of the order minus the deposit already paid.
Q - Now I have paid the balance now how long before I see my final design?
A - Approximately 5-7 working days to complete the final. All the details, color and real close detail are added to the design making it into a polished looking piece.
Q - Now I have received my final design can I still make changes?
A - Yes. All that is asked is that the design does not have major changes or a brand new design gets requested after the sketch has already been approved. The final artwork is based on all the prior changes requested when the sketches were developed. The final art should be small adjustments to get it fine tuned.
Q - Can I mix and match color of items?
A - Yes and the different colors can be combined for the total order.
Q - Once my final art is approved how long will it take to get it printed?
A - 5-7 working days.
Q - Now it is ready to ship what comes next?
A - For military units out of country shipping is made with USPS and gets mailed with a delivery confirmation number which confirms that it has been received when it arrives at the unit. If you are located in the US or have an overseas address that accepts UPS or FEDEX these mail carriers can also be used.
Q - I have received my order and more people want to order how do I get that done?
A - Not a problem. Your design can be posted on the Vision-Strike-
