Dec. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- It’s snow joke – The Salvation Army is cuddling up to a new ‘sole’ mate this winter.

20 pairs of Ezyshoe Ice grips have landed at The Salvation Army’s Church in Aberdeen thanks to a generous donation from icegrips.co.uk – just in time for the first snow fall.

They are going to be used by Salvation Army Officers and volunteers who regularly brave the snow and ice to help others.

Salvation Army Church Leader, Captain Alex Cadogan said: “The Salvation Army has a long history of offering practical support to people who are vulnerable or in need. We are out and about in all kinds of conditions to deliver food parcels and Christmas presents to the needy – as well as visiting the elderly and housebound in their homes. And of course, our Salvation Army bands cheer up the Christmas shoppers in cold conditions.
“The kind-hearted souls at icegrips.co.uk have made a fabulous donation which means we can continue our work – no matter what the weather is like.”

Michelle, Sales Director of icegrips.co.uk explained: “We’re delighted to be able to help The Salvation Army as they help many people throughout the winter months.

“The ice grips slip over shoes transforming them into high-traction snow boots in a matter of seconds. They provide extra grip and should ensure that no Salvation Army Officer or volunteer slips on the icy pavements and frozen paths.”
