FlexiDry delivers the perfect moisture resistant floor screed for Hilton’s five star spa

Dec. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- FlexiDry delivers the perfect high specification screed for the largest spa of Hilton group, UK. The spa for the new Hilton Hotel Terminal-5 is also the biggest facility managed by spa operators Imagine Spas.

Specialist screeding contractors CSC Screeding Ltd installed FlexiDry F0 over polythene debonding membrane to achieve high quality moisture tight screeding system suitable for spa flooring. Being an area that is constantly exposed to moisture, spa floors require high quality screeds to maintain the quality of flooring. When normal anhydrite screeds yield good results in dry conditions, they are not usually suited for wet and moist areas. FlexiDry floor screeds on the other hand perform very well even under damp and moist conditions, while ensuring quick drying time to facilitate early installation of the final flooring.

FlexiDry F0 helped the final flooring contractors to get on with the final flooring within just 3 days of installation of the floor screed. The screed was specifically laid to falls to ensure proper drainage of water to gulleys from the steam rooms.

FlexiDry fast drying floor screeds usually come in a range of drying times from 3 days to 21 days, and it only takes an alteration in the volume of the FlexiDry liquid screed additive to change the drying times from 21 days to 14 days or 7 days for the F3, F2 and F1 formulations of FlexiDry.

The fit out for the Hilton spa was carried out by Milk Leisure Ltd. The stunning five star spa boasts of an exclusive thermal suite and features a mineral grotto, aroma steam room, ice fountain, sauna and hydrotherapy pool.
