Probate.com is owned by Probate Partners, LLC, a partnership between Harvey E. Morse, P.A. and Scorpion Design, Inc. – both of whom shared a common vision of creating an all-inclusive “one-stop-
When asked why he chose to work with Scorpion, Harvey E. Morse had this to say: “I wanted to associate with a dynamic group of people who are experienced with the Internet, who currently offer professional marketing services to the legal community, and who understand and share my vision.” He certainly found that in Scorpion Design and the two companies now work seamlessly in their new partnership.
“Scorpion is proud to be the technology partner for Probate.com,”
While there are other probate-related websites out there, Probate Partners, LLC believes that what they have to offer is unique. “Probate and estate planning is such a vast and important field, I learned that there is no single place for a lawyer or a person involved in a probate proceeding to go to locate specialists in other states,” said Morse. “There is nowhere that there is a forum to make inquiries for both lawyers and non-lawyers, a place to find an estate realtor, a coin evaluator or where to turn when there are missing heirs. No such single resource has existed until now. Probate.com has codified the Internet fragments into one place.”
What can one expect to find when looking at the website? According to Morse, the better question would be what one wouldn’t be able to find. “As a lawyer, when probating a typical estate, one can expect to encounter the need for realtors, CPAs, valuators, appraisers, investigators to locate witnesses to Wills, experts who can locate missing heirs, funeral homes, tax specialists, and litigators to name a few, especially when a decedent owns property in multiple states, jurisdictions or countries.”
A visitor on the site would be able to find all of the above and in the future would even be able to find contact information for local probate courts, as well as employment opportunities. As Morse said, “It is my hope that Probate.Com will become recognized as an ultimate Internet ‘go-to’ site for any and everything probate, not only in the United States, but eventually worldwide.”
Probate.com looks to go where no site has gone before – providing more than a place to find a local attorney. Instead, the site looks to take every probate-related need and provide an answer. No matter who is looking, what they are looking for or what they expect to find, they can be confident knowing that the site will be there to meet their needs. Although the site is new, it is already rich with information that includes educational articles regarding probate and estate planning stories, a place to ask questions to the experts and even videos from attorneys discussing some of the most relevant topics.
Beyond the initial venture into creating the website, Probate Partners, LLC looks to support growth in the industry and to become a household name for anything probate-related. They are therefore proud to be a Platinum Sponsor of the 46th Annual Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning in January of 2012. This is widely considered to be one of the leading conferences in the nation for everything related to estate planning. By taking steps such as this, Probate Partners, LLC looks to encourage educational ventures involving probate and estate planning. They recognize that it is not simple to deal with probate, but by sponsoring events such as this and strengthening their own contribution to the industry, they hope to provide a simpler process and readily accessible information and resources to those in need.
