Dec. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- Send Our Heroes a Care Package!

Orlando, Fl. – December 16, 2011. The key event of the 2012 Council of College and Military Educators (CCME) symposium at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld Resort, 13-16 February, will be “CCME Cares 2012”.  The mission of “CCME Cares 2012” is to show our gratitude to the deployed service members of our country by preparing and assembling care packages during the symposium.  The goal of “CCME Cares 2012” is to provide 1000 care packages, each to include postcards and letters along with items that the troops have told us they would like to have. CCME is partnering with Operation Gratitude in this effort.

CCME is looking for donations, big and small – every single dollar is important! A $200 donation will result in a listing in the symposium program. A $500 donation will result in a listing in the program as well as on the post cards used in the letter-writing project.  A $1000 donation will result in all of the above as well as a listing as a “Friend of Operation Gratitude” on the organization website, www.operationgratitude.com

You can send your donations by check  (payable to CCME) or with credit card to:

About CCME:
CCME, a not-for-profit organization, was founded 36 years ago to promote, encourage, and deliver quality education to service members and their families in all branches of the armed services. Its membership is principally composed of military educators, civilian educators, post-secondary educational institutions, and suppliers of quality education products and services. The CCME symposium is the largest annual forum in the country with an expected attendance of about 1000 participants. The annual symposium facilitates the networking and interaction of the key leadership across these organizations in an environment that is focused on enhancing and optimizing voluntary education opportunities for the service member and their families. For more information, visit: http://www.ccmeonline.org.

About Operation Gratitude:
Operation Gratitude annually sends 100,000+ care packages filled with snacks, toiletries, entertainment items and personal letters of appreciation addressed to individually named U.S. Service Members deployed in harm’s way, to their Children left behind and to Wounded Warriors recovering in transition units. Our mission is to lift morale, bring a smile to a service member’s face and express to our Armed Forces the appreciation and support of the American people. Each package contains donated product valued at about $100 and costs the organization $15 to assemble and ship. Since its inception in 2003, Operation Gratitude has shipped more than 750,000 care packages to American Military members.
