IAOP Partners with Data Security Council of India (DSCI) to Promote Data Security in Outsourcing

PRLog (Press Release) - Dec. 15, 2011 - POUGHKEEPSIE, NY, Dec. 14, 2011 – The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals® (IAOP®) has joined with the Data Security Council of India (DSCI) to promote data protection and security in the outsourcing industry.

DSCI has joined the global outsourcing group as an Affiliate Association. The groups will work together to bring the latest information on data security, best practices, standards and thought leadership to outsourcing professionals worldwide.

DSCI, a section 25 not-for-profit company, was set up as an independent Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO) by the premier trade body and the chamber of commerce of the IT-BPO industries in India, NASSCOM, to promote data protection, develop security and privacy standards, and encourage the IT and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industries to implement the same.

“Data Protection continues to be a key enabler in outsourcing of IT services and business processes. With DSCI focused on enhancing data protection standards and practices and IAOP focused on promoting outsourcing, there are obvious synergies to collaborate. The DSCI-IAOP partnership will help increase much needed awareness on data protection among the international outsourcing community and address data protection related concerns in outsourcing,” said Dr. Kamlesh Bajaj, CEO of DSCI.
