Dec. 14, 2011 - PRLog -- With more than thirty years of innovation and research by the leading robotic scientists, engineers, programmers and logistics practitioners worldwide, Seegrid’s exclusive Robotic Industrial Trucks are revolutionizing the movement of materials in manufacturing and distribution environments. Seegrid’s technology transforms industrial vehicles into un-manned, automated pallet trucks and tow tractors that operate without the need for wire, tape, laser or other costly automated guided vehicle (AGV) guidance systems. Seegrid offers solutions that optimize workflow processes by increasing productivity and reducing costs, creating economic and operational advantages.

Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Seegrid Corp. (www.seegrid.com) brings robotic vision-guided technology to the material handling industry. Recently the company announced the hire of Sana Ali as Applications Engineer.  Due to the extraordinary growth Seegrid is experiencing, Ali has been brought on board in order to keep up with customer demand and to support the partnership with Raymond Corporation and Linde Material Handling.

David Noble, Director of Sales and Marketing, expressed his excitement over Ali’s new position by saying, “As demand for Seegrid Robotic Industrial Trucks continues to grow at record paces it is critical we add top-notch Applications Engineers to our staff.  Sana brings a wealth of industry knowledge and practical experience to Seegrid’s pre-sales engineering activities.”  He goes on to say, “Her professionalism and ‘do whatever it takes’ attitude is a perfect fit to our high-tech, robotic material handling organization.”

Ms. Ali is responsible for supporting the sales team by assessing customer sites, assisting with customer presentations, and proposal writing.  She is excited about the opportunity to interact with Seegrid’s customers to identify needs and help implement cost-effective robotic solutions so customer sites can operate with optimal efficiency.

Her previous experience in a similar position at FedExGround allowed her to analyze customer processes, reduce non-value-added tasks, and reassign resources to improve operation productivity.  She also worked within the FedEx facilities, streamlining processes to attain productivity goals.

Ali holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oklahoma and a Masters in Engineering Management from Robert Morris University.

The Seegrid hiring expansion is a natural and necessary progression, especially with respect to the recent partnerships with Raymond Corp. and Linde Material Handling. These two leading industrial truck manufacturers worldwide have captured the top two market share positions in the industry. Seegrid has entered into a rapid growth period to meet the demands of its OEM partners and its ever-growing, material handling client base.

Seegrid will be a significant part of MODEX 2012 in Atlanta, GA February 6 – 9th. Exhibiting at Booth 3100, Seegrid is proud to participate in one the largest expositions for manufacturing, distribution and supply chain solutions in the Americas in 2012. The show is designed to offer supply chain efficiency solutions, learning opportunities and information by showcasing the products and services of exceptional companies, like Seegrid.
