Unlike other products, the Calabash comes with a challenge for its buyers to begin “Living Well” by sharing how they would like to make the world a better place, such as serving at a community homeless shelter. “We’ve discovered that people are really passionate about doing good, and that it can transform communities when they do,” said founder and Chief Inspiration Officer Matt Johnson. “So we’ve set out to create a brand that inspires more moments like these, by creating unique products that require you to commit to do something at the time of purchase. And we’ve been blown away by the response.” The campaign aims to have 5,000 people back the project and share their stories of good, with rewards including a limited edition digital Commitment Storybook, the Calabash and even an opportunity to travel abroad to meet the communities that inspired the project.
