Follow on Google News | GEA Process Engineering wins supplier of the year award from DanoneGEA Process Engineering France has won Danone Canada’s ‘Supplier of the Year’ award in the category ‘Capital Investment’. It was the company’s liquid processing business unit - Scami - that secured the victory.
The performance of suppliers was evaluated by Danone’s cross-functional teams and was based on work and projects that took place in 2010. The suppliers were judged on numerous criteria: improvements in environmental sustainability, quality & safety, improvements in cost, accelerating the ‘time to market’ of new or renovated products, boosts in innovation, protection of competitive advantage, and the demonstration of shared values in the relationship with Danone. Managing Director Jean-Yves Seille from GEA Process Engineering France’s Liquid Processing Department said on receiving the prize: “This prize means a great deal to us. We realised our first contract with Danone Canada in 2004 and since then, we have finalised several contracts successfully. The last one – the Danactive production line – is the reason we received this award. My belief is that the Supplier of the Year title will help us remain one of Danone’s favourite providers both now and in the future.” Delphine Baro, Director of Raws & Packaging Sourcing for Danone Canada said: “We have remarkable respect for our business partners and the annual Danone Supplier of the Year Award is one of the various ways for us to show our gratitude for the contributions they make to our success.” End
