Dec. 12, 2011 - With the picturesque cityscape of Abu Dhabi as backdrop, mamemo productions’
created a bespoke event concept for the official reception of the guests of HH General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces at the Yas Links, Abu Dhabi.

Managing & Creative Director Sam Katiela, who was inspired to create a modern expression of elements from traditional Emirati culture. The expansive canopy covering the reception venue melted into the landscaped courtyard, echoing the shape of sand dunes as they were lit in the tones of a desert sunset. Inside, the setup was an elegant reflection of traditional hospitality through the modern majlis lounge and banquet areas, which had touches of wood, beige, silver and gold.
Among the invited guests were HM King Juan Carlos of Spain, President Alpha Conde of Guinea, President Paul Kagame of Rwanda, President Ali Bongo Ondimba of Gabon, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa Crown Prince of Bahrain, HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, and other members of the UAE Royalty.
“I am deeply honored to work with the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi in this very special affair,” remarked Sam Katiela. “This is the second year that we have been in charge of the F1 reception and we are extremely proud to take part in presenting Abu Dhabi’s rich culture, warm hospitality and great achievements to the world in any way we can.”
