"The 2nd Annual 'Rock 'n' Art' Holiday Party"

For the Holiday's, Behind The Blue Door Gallery is proud to announce our Holiday event, "The 2nd Annual Rock 'n' Art Holiday Charity Party" this event will benefit the following Charities: The U. S. Marine Corps' Toys for Tots Foundation - with a Toy Drive. New York Cares - for a Coat Drive. City Harvest - for a Canned Goods / Dry Food Drive and a of 1/4 the money raised from the night & the silent auction will also benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
This will be an Amazing Night! All donations of toys, coats, food & money will be tax deductible & ALL four charity sponsors will be in attendence to accept you donations in the above 4 catagories. All in one evening of Art & Rock 'n Roll. And, with music spun by our resident DJ Acey Slade (who has played for Murderdolls, Wednesday 13 & The Dark Party), the night will be filled with holiday cheer, love, art & great music!
Please join us December 22, 2011 at Chrystie 141, the new, hottest club in town!
We start at 8pm, with a silent Auction that lasts until Midnight and there will be tons of items to bid on! And, all monies raised, will be donated. All the Behind The Blue Door Gallery Artists are kindly donating at least one piece art, if not more and there will be everything from Art to jewelry, Accesories to DVDs & everything in between in the auction!
A very small pecentage is needed for overhead costs to arrange the event, but every other penny will be donated along with all items collected for the drives. Let's make this a VERY special Holiday for those in need!
This will also be the kick off of the NEW regular FRIDAY party - Behind The Blue Door Salon starting in mid January & The new Behind The Blue Door Gallery Salon events, once a month, starting January 20th, 2012 - ALL at Chrystie 141. Please stay tuned for more info coming soon!
For St Jude Children's Hospital, we will be accepting monetarty donations, in any form of US currency.

The U.S. Marine Corps' - Toy for Tots Foundation:
Please bring a new, unwrapped toy to the party & the US Marine Corp will be there to accept them. Yes, The BOYS will be there to accept the toys in person. You will also receive a tax deductable receipt from the foundation. You can also say THANK YOU to our Marines for all they do for us, everyday!

Toys for Tots NYC Coordinator
GOAL: The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, a shiny new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to needy youngsters that will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders.
For City Harvest.org:
Please bring nonperishable food items for collection and help feed 300,000 hungry New Yorkers.
The most needed foods: Canned fruit, canned vegetables, peanut butter (plastic jars), tuna, macaroni and cheese (packaged), hot and cold cereal (packaged, family-sized)
For New York Cares.org:
Please bring a gently worn coat or jacket to the party. Donations will be accepted by a NY Cares volunteer the night of the party & you will receive a tax deductable receipt from NY Cares.
To many New Yorkers have to choose between putting food on the table or purchasing a coat each winter. To meet the growing demand for coats and help the 18.7 percent of New York City families living in poverty, we are starting our Coat Drive early this year. From November 15th to December 31st, we will collect coats citywide.
All types of U.S. Currency will be accepted. Cash, Check, Money Order or Credit/Debit cards. Also, please make sure all item donations are UNWRAPPED. A suggested door donation of $25 is asked, but a minimum of $10 will get you in!
