PRLog - Dec. 9, 2011 - BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Authors still go on book tours -- but for many authors, there's a whole new approach. No more flying about to different cities and standing about looking forlorn in front of a stack of books. Instead, authors can go on virtual book tours! They can arrange all the details themselves, or hire a professional to contact interested book bloggers, do the scheduling, and coordinate distribution of all the appropriate information.

Appellate attorney and novelist Karen A. Wyle is in the midst of her first virtual book tour, courtesy of tour organizer Bewitching Book Tours. Her tour has sixteen stops in all. Book bloggers will be running promotional spotlights, excerpts from her science fiction novel Twin-Bred, author interviews, reviews, and guest posts. The latter cover topics such as "Why I Love to Read and Write Science Fiction," "Advice for Would-Be or New Writers," and "How I Came to Write Twin-Bred." There will also be interviews with two important characters from the book.
The full tour schedule -- listed by book (Twin-Bred) rather than author -- may be found at Bewitching Book Tours' website, on the right, under the heading "Books Currently on Tour."
