Additional Information

In order to achieve the Carbon Saver Standard, organisations must show an accurate footprint measurement of all required emission sources. They need to demonstrate an absolute reduction of their footprint or an equivalent relative efficiency improvement.  They also need to evidence good carbon management including carbon accounting, reduction, targets and governance.  The Carbon Saver Standard is an early action metric for the Government’s Carbon Reduction Commitment.  NHS Blood and Transplant will have an improved position on the CRC Performance League Table as a result of having the Carbon Saver Gold Standard.
