Managed Service Providers Save You Money

Dec. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- Saving money is one of the biggest reasons businesses hire managed service providers (MSPs), or companies whose business is to provide support and expertise around the software and hardware technologies that support a company’s operations.

According to a Computing Technology Industry Association poll of 400 IT and business professionals in June found that 46% of organizations that rely on MSPs for some or all of their IT needs say they have reduced annual IT budgets by at least 25 % as a result of adopting managed services.  Those respondents include 13% who estimated their savings at 50% or more.  Another 50% of poll participants said they have cut annual IT costs by 1% to 24%.  Basically, 96% of respondents say managed services save them money by enabling the company to support a greater breadth of technologies with a reduced need to hire full-time employees.

In addition, the same CompTIA survey found that 89% of current managed services users are very, or mostly, satisfied with their experience - citing up-time, security, agreeable contract terms and flexibility as reasons for their satisfaction.

Since MSPs also reduce downtime to an absolute minimum through remote monitoring and management, it’s hard to imagine that too many customers will continue to resist this approach.
