Dec. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- International Advisory Services Group, Ltd. today announced the launch of the AFV Insider, a new publication and data service covering the full range of alternative fuel vehicles.  “The promise of a technological, commercial and ecological revolution is in the air,” said Charles Blum, IAS president and publisher of the AFV Insider.   “Whole new industries will be needed to manufacture and service a range of new AFVs,” he added.

Carolyn Amon, editor in chief of the AFV Insider, explained the scope of the quarterly publication:  “We aim to help all our readers play their part in the AFV revolution no matter their location or areas of interest.    Our multilingual staff pays special attention to developments in China, sorting out conflicting data and linguistic uncertainties to produce what we believe is a unique resource in any language.”

Ms. Amon added:  “AFV Insider will not, however, ignore the rest of the world.  The world vehicle industry has roots all around the globe, and we will do our best to gather and organize data from every major region.”

Donna Tung described the website she manages in these terms:  “Our site is the world’s most ambitious on the subject and is reserved for AFV Insider premium subscribers.”  She elaborated:  “Our team of researchers is developing a wealth of information relating to the production, distribution, servicing and regulation of new fangled vehicles in the United States, China, Western Europe and elsewhere.”  She added:  “We’ve already mined data on taxis, municipal fleets, buses, trucks, and personal vehicles, compiled a comprehensive glossary of terms relating to AFVs and their equivalent in Mandarin Chinese; and launched a Calendar of Events.”

The data service and the quarterly publication will fill an information void that is holding back progress in the AFV sector.   IAS is committed to the continuous development of the website to ensure that it remains the most comprehensive, up-to-date and reliable source of information and analysis on the AFV sector.

Ms. Amon, who has built a reputation over the course of several years as a knowledgeable and astute observer of the AFV sector, noted:  “All across the world, entrepreneurs, inventors, start-up and old-line automakers, trade unions, government regulators, legislators, venture capitalists and millions of consumers are creating the brave new world of alternative fuel vehicles.   In the end, consumers will face a greatly expanded set of alternatives that can be tailored to their individual life-style and budget.”

IAS is offering special introductory rates of $295 for an annual subscription to the quarterly publication and $650 for a premium subscription to the publication and access to the AFV data base.  Subscriptions are accepted solely via the website, http://www.afvinsider.com.  The inaugural issue of the quarterly publication is available there for viewing and downloading as well.
