Janssen started her digital marketing career in 1998 at a high tech company, to which Lewis was a digital marketing vendor. In 1999, Janssen moved to an agency role, working with Lewis. In 2002, she became a contractor for Anvil Media, before being hired full-time in 2004. Since then, she has helped grow the account team from 2 to 13, as well as grow the client-base from a dozen local companies to nearly 60 global clients.

Anvil projects a 20% increase in revenue in 2011, despite a lower average headcount. “I’ve spent 11 years building Anvil, but realized the company leadership needed a refresh in order to achieve our growth goals for 2012 and beyond,” stated Lewis. “I also look forward to taking a step back so I can spend more time with my family, mentoring startups and pursuing philanthropic efforts.”
