1. By offering our users to take part in this effort, we assign a unique web ID to each user who agrees to participate. We always announce on our main page when we run a ranking campaign and anyone can enroll.

2. After consumers go through the application process and get approved, we follow up with a quick survey that asks a few simple questions about thier experience with the lender. At this time we basically ask about:

Decision Time. How fast your application was approved. The faster, the better, obviously.
Cost of Loan. How happy are you with the APR on your loan.
Application Process. Was the application process easy, hassle-free? Did you have to fax or email any supporting docs? Was there an application fee? Too many spammy follow-up offers? etc.
Loan Terms. How happy are you with the terms of your loan (repayment schedule, loan period, etc.)

3. If there are also comments that we consider important to share with our users, we add them as review comments for a respective lender.

4. Only approved applicants provide our rankings/comments and only those, who agreed to participate and replied back to our emails.

5. We are working to improve these rankings in two important ways: A) develop more detailed surveys to provide more all-round evaluations; B) obtain input from applicants who were not approved and those who declined the loan terms.
