Phone System: Avaya IP Office Release 8

Dec. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- Smart IP is pleased to announce that Avaya will be releasing its newest version of Avaya IP Office, within days. IP Office 8 is currently scheduled for release on December 12th, 2011. This latest edition of the award winning SMB communications platform has only been available until now to developers and beta testers across North America. We are unable to release all specifics at this time; however, as reported by the development engineers, the system has matured from the initial IP Office release most of you will have been familiar with. From what we know, Avaya will be enhancing the Mobility functions and applications with this new release. This means that users will have more control on their communication platform and profiles. It is expected that users will gravitate towards increased abilities for soft phone usage and less specific reliance on desk phones. With that said, it is to all our customer's advantage that this latest version will increase stability, reliability and ROI.

-Voice Mail Pro server expansion module – lowers the cost
-Avaya Flare integration (Video Conferencing + Collaboration)
-Web-based OneX portal with a better user friendly design
-A new plug-in for Microsoft Outlook

-Seamless integration between office desktop and mobile devices
-Decreased Cost of Ownership
-Simplified management interface for a day-to-day changes

As was the case with its initial release, IP Office 7 provided the facility for the smooth integration with, and from, the Nortel Norstar MICS and BCM product portfolios. It is clear that the IP Office 8 release enhances that path and ultimately achieves a truly wonderful level of integration that will simplify the needs of many customers.
