Flagler Chamber to Celebrate 50th Anniversary at Annual Installation Celebration

Dec. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- Palm Coast, FL. – Please join the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Associates in celebrating its golden anniversary on Friday, January 27, 2012.  

This year’s annual Installation Celebration will have a distinctly 1960s theme as the Chamber rings in its new board of directors, recognizes outstanding members and parties like it is 1962!

If you missed the 1960s the first time around now's your chance, as the Chamber will mark its 50th with a swanky cocktail party and gourmet meal inspired by the AMC television show, Mad Men. Creative attire is encouraged... For men, your inspiration could include fedoras, sharkskin suits and slim ties like Sinatra and the "Rat Pack" wore, or tailored Saville Row ensembles donned by Sean Connery in Dr. No. For ladies, your fashion influences could be inspired by pastel suits and pill box hats made famous by Jacqueline Kennedy; sequined gowns and mink stoles reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe; and pearls, little black dresses and long gloves like Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's. And, don't forget the hairspray, lots of Hairspray, proudly worn by Tracy Turnblad in the movie and on the Broadway stage.  

The event will take place at the Hammock Dunes Club, 30 Avenue Royale in Palm Coast, FL 32137 with cocktails starting at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $65 per person for members, $75 for future members.
