Dec. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- Shahzad Pirzada has invented a system, device and process for remotely controlling a medical device. The device can include a wireless communication module that allows the device to communicate with other processing equipment. The device can be used to turn an ordinary positive air pressure, or PAP, machine into an auto-adjust PAP machine or into a Bi- PAP machine.

PAP machines can be used to treat sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is a condition in which a patient's airway becomes restricted as the patient's muscles relax naturally during sleep. The PAP machine can remedy this situation wherein the PAP machine delivers compressed or pressurized air to a face mask via a hose, so that unobstructed breathing becomes possible, reducing or preventing apneas or hypopneas. This system allows the PAP machine to be remotely adjusted allowing a doctor or other medical professional to control the airflow in the PAP machine.
